My big question: will the ever increasing thinking power of computers eventually get to a point where the need for such large amounts of hardware (and the resources it consumes) is eliminated? We may not even be talking about orbital data centers in 5 years if the hardware shrinks enough.
The Chinese example, Deep Seek, points in that direction. American companies add compute power, the Chinese refine technique. There are big incentives for incresed efficiency.
